The country has updated 553 new cases of coronavirus with zero infection related death in the past 24 hours.
The caseloads were from total 3,789 tests (2,040 PCR and 1,749 antigen), according to Ministry of Health and Population. So far, total 972,497 infected people have got over the virus with 433 more in last 24 hours. The recovery rate is 98.2 percent while the infection rate 17 percent.
The total number of active infection cases stands at 5,659 with 3,884 in Kathmandu Valley (3,010 in Kathmandu, 778 in Lalitpur and 96 in Bhaktapur) alone. The death toll from the deadly virus has reached 11,971 so far.
Currently, 5,507 infected people are in home isolation and 152 in institutional isolations. Likewise, 45 have been admitted to intensive care units and three on a ventilator support.
Manang, Mustang, Kalikot and Humla districts have reported nil infection cases.
