850 Nepali specified skilled worker are being sent to Japan.
Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has informed that the process to send those workers on G2G basis is in final phase. In 2019, Nepal and Japan have signed an agreement to send specified skilled workers to Japan in government level. As per agreement, Nepal will send workers in 14 different specified skills.
A meeting will be held on Thursday between Japanese delegation and Nepali comittee. Nepali committee is formed under coordination of Rajib Pokhrel, joint secretary of Labour, Employment and Social Security. The modality of agreement to send labours, schedule and incurred cost is yet to be finalized.
