Buddhist monk Furba Sangmo Tamang has filed a case against actress Miruna Magar.
Tamang has a filed a case against Magar and film technician Prithvi Singh Thakuri for profanity and assault. Kathmandu district court spokesperson, Dipak Dahal informed about the case being filed on Wednesday. Magar had slapped Tamang after accusing him of inappropriate touch in late May during her movie screening at Civil Mall.
Tamang was taken to custody for his activities and had to bail out on Rs 3000 bond. But Tamang supporters from his community strongly protested against Miruna’s claim and even threatened to halt the screening of movie. Later an agreenment was made between both sides in presence of monks of Buddhist community and film production team.
Technician Thakuri is accused of provoking Magar to slap Tamang in the case filed.
