The country has recorded a total of 257 new cases of coronavirus infection and 232 recoveries in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The new cases were traced from 3,921 sample tests carried out in different laboratories nationwide. Ministry stated that no casualty due to COVID-19 was reported during the period across the country.
With the latest data, the number of active cases of the virus has reached 3,146. Of them, 2,991 are in home isolation while 155 other patients are in institutional isolation centres. Likewise, 40 patients are receiving treatment in ICU beds in different hospitals and five others are in ventilator support.
Currently, Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts have more than 500 active cases of the virus while Manang, Mustang, Baglung, Kalikot, Humla, Dolpa and Mugu has not even a single case of the coronavirus, the Ministry shared in its daily media briefing.
Meanwhile, a total of 50,355 received anti-COVID-19 vaccines in the country during the same period.
