Additional 27 corona cases were reported in Nepal since last 24 hours.
Health and Population Ministry informed that 23 cases from 937 PCR tests and 4 cases from 865 antigen tests came positive. Today’s data takes active cases in the country to 188 out of which 181 people remain in home isolation. 7 people have been hospitalised with 4 people in ICU.
Among positive cases, 13 cases are reported in Kathmandu valley and remaining are from outside the valley. Yesterday 32 new cases were reported in Nepal.
The overall tally of covid positive in Nepal is 979,512 and total recovery tally is 967,372 out of whom 16 recovered in last 24 hours. Lately there has been a gradual increase in positive cases leading to a fear of fourth wave as vaccine impact are slowly wearing off.
Neighbouring India has also reported a significant rise in positivity rate with more than 17 thousand cases on Friday and 15 thousand cases on Saturday.
