Dollar has continued to strengthen against nepali currency while price of gold also increased on Sunday.
As per Sunday’s exchange rate published by NRB, dollar has breached all time high exchange rate at 126.78 rupees per dollar. The exchange rate was 12 paisa cheaper at Rs 126.66 per dollar on Friday. As demand for dollar continue to increase in international market, it has gone from strength to strength in recent times. Uncertain global economy, Russia-Ukraine war has further aided dollar to peak lately.
Gold price also rose on Sunday by 300 rupees according to Federation of Nepali Gold and Silver Association. Fine gold is traded at Rs 97,500 per tola while tejabi gold will cost 97,000 per tola. Meanwhile, price of silver has decreased on Sunday. Silver was traded at Rs 1210 on Friday while it decreased by 10 rupees to reach Rs 1200 per tola today.
