The Election Commission is going to implement the Election Code of Conduct, 2079 from Wednesday for the upcoming November 20 federal and provincial elections.
Spokesperson of the Commission Shaligram Sharma Poudel said EC looks forward for cooperation from all sides to implement and adhere to the code of conduct. The EC had published the code of conduct in Nepal Gazette on August 29. The code of conduct is aimed at conducting elections in a free, fair, fear-less and transparent atmosphere.
All the political parties, candidates, the government of Nepal, provincial and local level officials, employees, media and various concerned agencies have expressed the determination to comply with the code.
As per the election programme, the submission of the closed list for the proportional election has been completed.
