Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has resigned from his post.
After allegations, in recent controversy regarding participation of unauthorized personnel to alter tax rate during budget preparation, against him, Sharma decided to resign from his post on Wednesday. Sharma resigned after an agreement was made to form a 11 membered parliamemtary committee to investigate the issue.
Sharma informed that he resigned to make investigation process easier. He further claimed against any wrong doing as per accusations made. He also challenged committee to prove false claims made against him.
