Government has banned the import of mobile sets above $300.
The decreasing foreign reserve has compelled government to ban import of automobiles, costlier phones and several other luxury items. Earlier, government had banned import till April 26. However as the conditions haven’t improved the ban has been extended to last of August.
Mobile sets costing above $600 were banned till April 26. Government has further tightened mobile set import ban by reducing price ceiling to $300.
