Lumbini Cablecar is preparing to come into operation from coming January.
A 3 km long cable car will connect Basantapur Dada of Tinahu RM, Palpa with Bamghat of Butwal submetro. Construction of physical infrastructure are expected to complete by early January and cablecar to come into operation on January 15. Chairman of Lumbini Cablecar Private Limited, Chandra Dhakal has informed that sub-structure of lower station is almost complete while that of upper station is in final stage of completion.
Entertainment park, temples and luxury hotel are being built at Basantapur hill to attract visitors and lengthen their stay. Dhakal informed that civil work of 8 out of 9 tower is already completed and work is ongoing in ninth tower. Process for import of cablecar’s parts and machines also have been initiated, Dhakal added. Same group has been operating cablecar in Chandragiri hill of Kathmandu.
