Nepal has registered a 5 wicket victory over strong Scotland side in the ongoing ICC cricket world cup league 2 match.
In the match played at Titwood, Glasgow, Nepal won the toss and elected to field first. Justifying the decision, Nepal was quickly able to reduce Scotland for 33-5 in just 11.2 overs with Sompal Kami’s superb effort with new ball taking 3 wickets. Kami accounted for both Scotish openers, Kyle Coetzer and Matthew Cross as well as dangerous Richie Berrington.
Mohammad Adil Alam also bowled superbly in middle overs with overall figure of 10-1-31-3. Captain Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets while Karan Kc and Dipendra Singh Airee shared one wicket each. Similarly Rohit Paudel remained unbeated at 34(31) while Kushal Bhurtel also scored run a ball 27 runs. Gavin Main was pick of the bowler for Scotland taking 3 wickets.
Nepal had lost their previous game against Namibia by 40 runs. The series is being played between Namibia, Scotland and Nepal with teams playing against each other twice as a part of ICC cricket world cup league 2 tournament.
