NESPE index continue to rise on Thursday as it gained 74.93 points.
Thursday’s gain means the index closed at 2037.64 with 6 companies traded at positive circuit level. Nepal Finance, Mailung Khola Hydropower, Nyadi Hydropower, Aadhikhola Micro, CYC Micro, Suryodaya Womi Microfinance were among the scripts that increased by 10%. Only 6 scripts price decreased today as Global Ime Debenture lost the most with 3.89% fall in price.
Today 72,54,070 units share were traded with total turnover of 2.45 billions. Turnover was higher than yesterday by more that 1 billion which indicates strong buyer confidence. Nepse has seen a strong comeback from 1800 level as 237 points is already increased in last 6 trading days.
Increasing government spending has significantly helped banks to maintain liquidity which could be the major reason for buyers’ confidence. The CD ratio which is to be maintained at below 90% by Asar end has fallen to 89.14 and is in improving trend since the beginning of Asar. Before that the ratio was well above 90% for a long period.
Nepse had been falling since last August when it peaked to all time high index of 3227.
