President Bidya Devi Bhandari has returned the Bill on Nepal Citizenship to House of Representatives (HoR) with her message that a review was needed on the issue of citizenship.
In a press statement issued this evening, Spokesperson at Office of the President Sagar Acharya said the bill prepared to amend Nepal Citizenship Act, 2063 and submitted before the President for certification as per Article 113 (2) of Constitution of Nepal after endorsement from Speaker is returned to the HoR.
President has sent back the bill with a message for reconsideration from Federal Parliament as per the Article 113 (3) of Constitution.
