Two Thai Tourists Die While Trekking In Annapurna Circuit

Two female tourists from Thailand have lost their lives while trekking in Annapurna Circuit.

47 Year old Rataya and 37 year Peni are among the deceased according to trekking agency that they were trekking with. A team of 22 including 12 foreigners, 8 porter and 2 guides had started their trekking on November 11. The team had scucessfully arrived at Tilicho lake after 6 days on November 17 and began their journey further through Mesokanta La pass according to trekking agency.

While descending to Thini Village of Mustang district through Mesokanta La pass, four of trekkers had fell ill at the bottom of the pass. Two of the trekkers were rescued by helicopter of Air Dynasty while two of them died at Mesokanta. High altitude, severe cold and frostbite is believed to be the cause of their death.
