Election for vacant post of deputy speaker of HoR is scheduled for coming Friday on 31st Asar.
Speaker of HoR, Agni Prasad Sapkota today directed secretary of the Parliament Secretariat Gopinath Yogi to publish election schedule for Asar 31. The post of deputy speaker is vacant since 2076 Magh, almost 30 months after Shivamaya Tumbahamphe from CPN UML resigned from her post.
Government was heavily crirticized after ordinance was being prepared to amend Constitutional Council Act instead of holding election for deputy speaker.
