Heavy Rain In Central Nepal, Siren Alert In Dumkauli and Parwanipur

Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Nawalpur, Rupandehi and Kaski districts of Central Nepal have received heavy rain in last 24 hours. Parwanipur of Bara and Dumkauli of Nawalpur have experienced very heavy rain.

Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has requested people in low lying places of those districts to stay alert from possible flooding hazards. Flood forecasting division has informed that Parwanipur, Simara Airport of Bara and many places of Parsa have received heavy rain since last midnight. Parwanipur has received 108 mm rain in last 24 hours and siren alert is given to people of low lying areas. Division has also alerted about possibility of flood in Pasaha Khola and Dudhauri River.

Similarly, siren alert is given in Dumkauli of Nawalpur as it received 134.4 mm rain in last 24 hours. Madi and Shaktikhor of Chitwan, Hetauda of Makwanpur and places of Nawalparasi, Rupandehi and Kaski also have received heavy rain in last 24 hours according to division. Division has also alerted possibility of flood in Riukhola and other seasonal streams around these places.
