A man has died due to wasp stings in Rukum West.
Subarna Sunar(38yo) died after a swarm of wasps bite him on Thursday. Sunar from Triveni Rural Municipality-1 died today while being taken to Nepalgunj for further treatment. He was being treated at private clinic since three days.
Wasps had stung Sunar while he went to hunt wasp nests with his friends. He had 53 stings of wasp in his body. Sunar was referred to Nepalgunj after his treatement was not possible at local clinic.
Wasp bites can be lethal and life threatening in case of more than 30 stings. If attacked by wasps, experts advice to slowly back away in peaceful manner rather than try to retreat or run away.
