Pushpa Bhusal is elected as deputy speaker for House of Representatives.
Nepali Congress MP Bhusal received 148 votes in favour to win by majority. Out of 242 members present in today’s election, 93 votes were against her. After Bhusal got majority, there was no need to vote for her competitor Bidya Bhattarai of CPN UML.
The post of deputy speaker was vacant since almost 3 years after Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe resigned from the post.
