Traffic Resumes In Besisahar-Chame Roadway

Besisahar-Chame roadway, the only road connecting the mountaineous district of Manang and the hilly district of Lamjung, which was blocked by floods and landslides, has been reopened.

Purushottam Adhikari, Information Officer and Engineer at Dumre Bensishahar Chame Road Planning Office, Lamjung informed that the landslide has been removed from this section which was blocked by the floods and landslides since Wednesday morning.

He said that the landslide of Marsyangdi Gaonpalika-4 Shrichaur Jagat have been removed from the road and vehicular movement has been resumed. The landslide had blocked the road in two places, collapsing the road. The road was blocked by a landslide of stones and mud near Khudi of Marsyangdi Gaupalika.
