Sahara club has bear a loss of Rs 347,800 upon organizing 20th edition of Aaha Rara Goldcup tournament.
Club published income statement of 20th edition of tournament Saturday morning at a press met organized in Pokhara. Total income from the competition stood at Rs 6.6 million while 6.9 million was spent for the competition. Only semifinals and final game were played with spectators due to covid which decreased gate ticket income by a huge margin, club informed.
Sunil Gurung, coordinator of finance collection sub committee informes that actual loss stood at 1.26 million but financial aid from Sahara Hongkong, Sahara UK and Sahara Australia reduced the deficit. The other sources of income for tournament are 1.35 million from main sponsor Himshree foods, 500 thousands from Gandaki Province Sports Council and 492 thousands from National Sports Council.
On expenditure side, 2.74 million was spent on Players Daily Visit, 1.79 million as team incentive, 426 thousands as referee expenditure. Sahara club used to operate its academy from income generated from the tournament.
