A police van has met with accident in Puthauttarganga rural municipality of Rukum East.
6 police officers along with two DSPs are injured when a van(Lu 1 Jha 660) fell.off around 100 meters from the road. DSP Prakash Dangi of District Police Office and DSP Rabindra Shrestha of Armed Police force are among the injured. Three injured are being airlifted to Nepalgunj in an army helicopter. Santosh Budha, Laxman Pun and Kumar Singh Dangi are among the three.
The police van was travelling toward Taksera with a team of Chief District Officer Tularaj Sunuwar for inspection and other regular activities. CDO Sunuwar was travelling in another vehicle. Sunuwar informed that the condition of three police officer is serious.
The cause of accident is yet to be identified.
