Heavy rain has affected flight throughout the nation on Tuesday.
Regular flights to Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Surkhet, Pokhara, Dhangadi and Tumlingtar have been affected according to Airport source. As monsoon spreads, heavy rain is experienced in most parts of country. Earlier, meteorological department forecasted mild to heavy rain in various parts of Madesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini province for three days.
Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has directed airlines to operate flights only if weather is clear after recent aeroplane accident in Jomsom killing 22 on board. Prior to that, airlines took their own decision about operating flights.
