Continous heavy rain causes road to caving in in Pokhara.
Around 10 metre section of inner road caved in at Pokhara-4 Firkekhola on Sunday morning. A nearby house also is in danger as the huge crater occupied the entire road and stretched toward it as well. Transporation has been completely halted from Pokhara Baglung Highway to Gairapatan due to sink.
Deputy Mayor Manju Devi Gurung inspected the road section and instructed to fill up the crater. Pokhara has seen similar sinkholes in different location every year during rainy season.
Yesterday heavy rain caused flooding in Hemja, Suikhet area where more than 300 houses were inundated. Similarly Pokhara-Sikles road is blocked due to landslides in more than 5 places.
