COVID-19: Country Records 230 New Cases, Two Deaths

The country has recorded 230 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Sanjay Kumar Thakur, such coronavirus cases were detected in course of conducting 3,826 tests.

Similarly, 78 people have been recovered from virus during same period. The recovery rate stands at 98.6 per cent. Coronavirus was confirmed on 49 people in Kathmandu Valley alone.

There are 2,505 active cases of coronavirus in the country now, according to Ministry. Similarly, two persons succumbed to coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

At present Kathmandu district has more than 500 active cases of coronavirus while Lalitpur district has more than 200 active cases. Likewise, 2,380 people are in home isolation, 125 in institutional isolation, 32 in ICU while three are receiving treatment on ventilator support.

A total of 165,206 people received vaccine against coronavirus during this period.
