The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petroleum products effective from Tuesday.
The state-owned fuel utility increased Rs 2 in the price of petrol, Rs 9 in diesel and kerosene and Rs 5 in aviation fuel (internal).
The price of aviation fuel (external) and LPG gas cylinders has remained intact, the NOC said. The price of petroleum products has been revised following the spike in the price list obtained from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
The Corporation stated that the cost price of the petroleum products was continuously increasing and so was the payment for the purchase of the same.
It is estimated that the arrears to be paid to the IOC would reach Rs 30 billion as of July 8.
