Access road to Lomanthang and Korala will be closed for 1 week.
Lo-ghekar Damodarkunda Rural municipality today issued a notice to inform that the access road will be closed from July 3 to July 10. The road will be closed to repair the temporary wooden motarable bridge in Ghami Khola.
The bridge has become very old and could be dangerous to passing vehicles so we decided to close it for maintainence, chairman of Loghekar rm Lopsang Chhomfel Bista informed. Himdung Thokat Construction Company had already got contract to buid a bridge in Ghami Khola in 2075. But due to negligence of contractor, only 40% of bridge has been completed in 4 years.
Ghami bride lies in Jomsom – Korala road which one of projects of national pride. The 110 km road will link China border with Nepal and expected to operate as major trade way between Nepal and China.
