Ward chairman of Barekot rural municipality of Jajarkot has been severely beaten at his own home.
Dambar Bahadur Mahatara, elected from CPN UML as chairman of ward 6 was beaten by Congress cadres. Abinash Nepali and Tekendra Nepali attacked Mahatara with Khukuri and stone in Mahatara’s own residence Monday morning. Severely injured chairman is brought to Khalanga for treatment.
Police has informed that two attackers have fled after the assault. Further investigation is ongoing and absconded duo are being searched according to the police.
